The MO40 Soffit lanterns are designed primarily for use on motorway lighting projects to illuminate the carriageways beneath bridges, flyovers and other elevated roadways.

Designed for use with the Philips 250, 400 and 700 watt PowerWhite mercury discharge lamps or 250, 400 watt SON high pressure sodium discharge lamps.

Materials and Finish

• Lantern body constructed from die-cast aluminium alloy (LM6M), stove enamel finished, hammertone grey outside, white inside.
• One-piece acrylic bowl attached to lantern body by open type hinge with stainless-steel hinge pin, and three quick action stainless-steel catches. Safety chain supports lantern bowl when in open position, to permit easy cleaning and maintenance.
• Neoprene foam gasket ensures dust and weatherproof seal.
• Optical system comprises super-purity aluminium alloy refelctor panels, polished and anodised.
