cast aluminium weatherproof case. It is of the plug-in type which
enables it to be interchanged very simply. The standard switch is fitted with an extra
hand to permit the switch to cut out at the same time every night.

Entirely automatic and independent of mains shut-downs, eliminates need and labour costs of
constant re-setting. Small, compact, fits into any street lighting column. With solar dial and
an automatic synchronous motor winding which maintains a minimum reserve of 9 hours. Rated at 20A at
250V A.C.
MSDC
Incorporates a solar dial and includes a double-circuit control to allow one or more tubes
in a fluorescent lighting unit to be cut out at a predetermined hour, usually between 11PM and
1AM. Models were supplied with handwound or synchronous motor driven clocks. It was called
"Half Night" lighting.
MSQP
This model featured a large dial for easy setting, small overall dimensions
(to fit in modern street lighting columns) and could be supplied with a clear plastic
clip-on cover or in a metal die-cast box with top clip fastening..
