Finally, an update!

And you won't be disappointed. The first BTH catalogue has been uploaded - this will help many identify those strange incadescent/mercury lanterns which seem to hang around near railway and powerstation goodsyards.

Information about the streetlightinguk mailing list has been added to the mailing list section.

And the glossary has been started, with two additions from the recently uploaded DAVIS booklet.

In the 1980s, DAVIS continued making the ELECO range of lanterns. A small booklet from the 1980s has been uploaded.

A brief history of ELECO and some thoughts about their relationship with Philips have been added to the firm's section.

Welcome to the start of the new street lighting site.

Over time, I'll gradually move the contents of the old site onto this one. All new content will be posted here. But I'll leave the old site up until it has been totally superceeded.

I thought I'd start this site with something totally new, so enjoy a collection of leaflets from ELECO which date from the mid-1960s.
